your fingers gently run through macklin’s hair and you feel him exhale, warm air fanning your neck. you angle your fingers slightly, allowing your nails to drag and scratch lightly. you feel his body melt into yours, his arms tightening around your waist, a low hum coming out of his mouth. your hands move further down his head, towards the nape of his neck, combing through his hair.

his body shifts slightly, legs further entwining with yours. “sleepy baby?” you ask, pressing a kiss into his hair, hands creeping down to his bare back. slight chills run through his body, his head shifting in the crook of your neck.

“mm hm,” he softly mumbled out, nodding a little. his lips are pressed against the side of your neck, voice slightly muffled. a light and breathy chuckle escapes your mouth, admiring him as your one hand runs up and down his back, the other resting in his hair, gently massaging him.

he lets out a small sigh, head tilting up towards you, tired eyes looking into yours. a small blush appears on his face, a soft smile growing on his face. his eyes are filled with love, slowly tracing over your features.

“what?” you ask quietly, a smile of your own hitting your face, cheeks heating slightly.

“i just love you a lot,” he whispers, his left hand moving from under you to your side, his thumb gently moving up and down across your bare ribcage.

at this, your cheeks heat up further, your body relaxing into his touch. “i love you a lot too,” you speak softly, your hand moving from the back of his head to his cheek, bringing your head close to his and connecting your lips in a soft kiss, smiles on both of your faces.

when you part after a moment, your cheeks are both flushed. you gently peck his forehead before relaxing into the bed again, your arms wrapping around his neck and across his shoulders.

his body moves slightly upwards on you, bringing your bodies closer, your bodies molding together perfectly. your breaths sync and his arms wrapping around around your waist once again, slightly tighter.

his lips leave gentle kisses from behind your ear to the base of your neck before he settles his head in the crook of your neck.
